Main missions
The Valve Supervision Engineer organizes, plans, and supervises the installation of valves, check valves, motorized or manual valves, according to isometric drawings and construction dossiers. He/She ensures proper mechanical assembly and verifies fixings and support structures.
He/She ensures documentation traceability, quality control of installed equipment, and management of non-conformities. He/She prepares handover deliverables for commissioning readiness.
Job activities
- Valve installation supervision: Oversee reception, preparation, and installation of equipment.
- Mechanical compliance monitoring: Check alignments, assemblies, and interfaces with piping systems.
- Document verification: Ensure compliance with drawings, weld files, and control reports.
- Subcontractor coordination: Manage installation teams and ensure adherence to site requirements.
- Quality inspections: Participate in quality checks, manage non-conformance reports, and close punch lists.
- Application of nuclear standards: Ensure adherence to safety, radiation protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Commissioning handover preparation: Ensure completeness of end-of-installation documentation.
- Planning and site coordination: Monitor technical milestones and coordinate with other work packages.
Required skills
A Valve Supervision Engineer during the nuclear construction phase should have the following skills:
- Experience in industrial valve installation.
- Ability to read isometric drawings and knowledge of nuclear construction codes.
- Familiarity with welding processes and valve-piping interfaces.
- Autonomy and precision in a regulated environment.
- Strong coordination and site supervision skills.
