Main missions

The Analysis Engineer contributes to the design and engineering phases of nuclear projects by performing detailed technical analyses of systems, components, and structures. He/She evaluates the performance of proposed solutions using simulation tools and ensures adherence to strict regulatory and safety standards.

He/She works closely with multidisciplinary teams—engineering, safety, construction, and operations—to integrate the results of technical studies into project decision-making. He/She also supports modifications, design reviews, and documentation required by safety authorities.

Job activities

  • Technical Studies: Conduct mechanical, thermal, electrical, or structural calculations depending on the area of expertise, in line with project requirements and specifications.
  • Modeling and Simulation: Use advanced numerical tools to model physical behaviors and validate the performance of proposed designs.
  • Safety and Regulatory Analysis: Ensure all studies meet nuclear industry standards and contribute to overall plant safety justification.
  • Technical Documentation: Draft technical deliverables including calculation reports, study notes, and compliance justifications for internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Participation in Design Reviews: Contribute to multidisciplinary design reviews, present findings, and propose optimizations aligned with feedback and project evolution.
  • Cross-functional Interface: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical, safety, etc.) to ensure the integration of all design constraints.
  • Support During Implementation and Operation: Provide expert input during construction and operational phases when technical adaptations or re-analyses are needed.
  • Continuous Improvement and Technological Watch: Stay up to date with evolving methodologies, tools, and standards in nuclear analysis to enhance study relevance and efficiency.

Required skills

An Analysis Engineer in the nuclear energy sector must possess the following skills:

  • Strong technical expertise in engineering disciplines (mechanical, thermal, electrical, etc.).
  • Proficiency with modeling and simulation software.
  • Solid understanding of nuclear regulatory codes and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with attention to detail and rigor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Critical thinking and sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to nuclear safety.
