Main missions
The Outage Engineer develops reactor shutdown plans, defining the steps and resources needed to carry out maintenance, inspection, and fuel reloading operations.
He/She coordinates the various teams involved during the reactor shutdown, including maintenance, quality control, radiation protection, and safety teams, ensuring planning and synchronization of activities.
He/She supervises dismantling operations and preventive maintenance of equipment during the outage, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and deadlines.
He/She ensures regulatory compliance of outage activities by coordinating regulatory inspections, preparing activity reports, and providing required documents to nuclear safety authorities.
