Main missions
The Mechanical Supervisor oversees the final assembly, connection, and testing of mechanical equipment (pumps, exchangers, motors, compressors, etc.) on site, and acts as the interface between installation teams, commissioning engineers, system engineers, and the client.
He/She ensures strict adherence to commissioning procedures, schedules, and resolution of punch list items. He/She documents all operations and validates equipment performance prior to handover to operations.
Job activities
- Final installation monitoring: Supervise assembly, alignment, and tightening of mechanical components.
- Mechanical test coordination: Organize and monitor functional tests, performance tests, and no-load or load tests.
- Compliance analysis: Ensure test results comply with technical specifications and nuclear safety standards.
- Documentation management: Maintain test traceability, draft compliance reports, and prepare handover files.
- Non-conformity management: Identify, track, and coordinate resolution of technical discrepancies and punch list items.
- Technical interface: Coordinate with commissioning, systems, QA, and client teams.
- Nuclear safety compliance: Enforce safety, quality, and radiation protection requirements.
- Operational reporting: Draft progress reports, attend coordination meetings, and update performance indicators.
