Main missions
The Civil Works Package Manager oversees the proper execution of on-site construction activities such as earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete structures, steel frameworks, and technical or nuclear buildings. He/She monitors planning, cost control, technical compliance, interface coordination, and ensures that all construction activities align with the regulatory framework of Basic Nuclear Installations (BNI).
He/She manages subcontractors, reviews construction documentation, participates in technical reviews, handles non-conformities, and ensures full traceability of civil works until final acceptance.
Job activities
- Work Package Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor the execution of civil works (concrete, structures, earthworks, nuclear civil engineering), ensuring compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Construction Site Supervision: Oversee daily site activities, track progress, validate milestones and ensure compliance with the construction schedule.
- Technical Interface Management: Act as the technical link between design offices, contractors, project management, quality/safety teams, and other disciplines (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
- Documentation and Deliverable Review: Analyze and validate execution documents (drawings, procedures, inspection records, as-built documentation), ensuring full traceability of construction materials and testing.
- Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with construction codes, project specifications, and safety authority requirements (RCC-CW, ASN guidelines, etc.).
- Non-Conformity Handling: Identify and report technical deviations, manage non-conformity reports (NCRs), propose corrective actions, and oversee resolution with involved stakeholders.
- Contractual Monitoring: Support contract management activities, including cost tracking, change management, and drafting of contractual correspondence in coordination with the Contract Manager.
- Work Acceptance Preparation: Participate in pre-acceptance inspections, final acceptance operations (FAC), and the resolution of technical reservations related to civil works.
Required skills
A Civil Works Package Manager during the construction phase of a nuclear project should have the following skills:

Strong knowledge of construction techniques (concrete, structural, earthworks) and nuclear civil engineering standards.

Familiarity with nuclear civil engineering codes: RCC-CW, Eurocodes, INB regulations, ASN requirements, ISO 19443.

Project management and contract monitoring skills.

Proven experience in managing subcontractors on nuclear or complex industrial construction sites.

Ability to handle technical interfaces and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong documentation discipline and understanding of quality and safety cultures.

Proficiency in project tracking tools: MS Project, Excel, document management systems.

Good command of technical English, particularly for international and regulatory projects.
