Main missions
The Electrical Works Package Manager oversees all activities related to the installation, testing, and commissioning of on-site electrical systems (wiring, switchboards, LV/MV distribution panels, transformers, lighting, instrumentation, etc.). He/She is involved from the validation of execution studies through to the handover of the installations.
He/She coordinates construction teams, monitors progress, ensures the technical quality of deliverables, manages interfaces with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, I&C), and guarantees full documentation traceability as required in nuclear environments (INB regulations).
Job activities
- Electrical Package Management: Coordinate all works within the scope (LV/MV distribution, lighting, cabling, switchboards, instrumentation, etc.) in compliance with technical, contractual, and nuclear standards.
- Site Supervision: Organize and monitor on-site activities, track work progress, plan resources, and identify obstacles to ensure deadlines are met.
- Technical Validation of Deliverables: Review execution documents (layout drawings, single-line diagrams, calculation notes, test procedures) and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards (RCC-E, C13-100, etc.).
- Technical Interface Management: Act as a liaison between disciplines (civil, HVAC, I&C…), coordinate interfaces, and ensure that electrical constraints are integrated into overall plant design.
- Quality and Nuclear Safety Compliance: Participate in technical inspections, manage non-conformities, and ensure compliance with nuclear safety and quality requirements.
- Commissioning Support: Assist in pre-commissioning tests (FAT, SAT), validate the functional performance of electrical systems, and prepare test reports and acceptance protocols.
- Contractual and Project Monitoring: Support contractual follow-up of the electrical package, contribute to technical change management, and provide regular reporting to the project management team.
- Documentation and Traceability: Ensure completeness of project closeout documentation, including as-built records, test reports, conformity certificates, and commissioning documentation.
Required skills
An Electrical Works Package Manager in the nuclear construction phase should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (LV/MV distribution, switchboards, protection, instrumentation).
- Solid understanding of electrical and nuclear standards (RCC-E, INB regulations, IEEE, CENELEC).
- Experience managing construction works and multidisciplinary technical interfaces.
- Awareness of nuclear safety requirements and strict documentation traceability.
- Proficiency in project management and planning tools (MS Project, Excel, document control systems).
- Experience with subcontractor management and contract monitoring.
- Good technical English for working on international and regulatory projects.
