Main missions
The Piping Supervisor oversees the installation of industrial piping networks (for fluids, steam, water, gas, process systems) in compliance with execution drawings, isometric plans, and project requirements. He/She coordinates prefabrication, assembly, welding, pressure testing, and pipe support operations.
He/She also manages non-conformities, enforces HSE rules, and ensures the quality and traceability standards required in Basic Nuclear Installations (BNI).
Job activities

Work Preparation: Analyze execution documents (drawings, isometrics, support lists, assembly procedures) and anticipate material, manpower, and logistics needs.

On-Site Supervision: Supervise pipefitters, welders, and installation teams on site; organize work sequences; monitor progress; and ensure proper execution of activities.

Quality Control Monitoring: Inspect assembly work, verify compliance with technical specifications (materials, welds, slopes, alignments), and participate in dimensional and visual inspections.

Interface Coordination: Coordinate with civil works, electrical, HVAC, and commissioning teams to avoid layout conflicts and scheduling overlaps.

Non-Conformity Management: Identify deviations, issue Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs), propose corrective actions, and track their resolution to approval.

HSE and Nuclear Safety Compliance: Apply and enforce safety, radiological protection, and nuclear cleanliness rules in accordance with site-specific BNI requirements.

Reporting and Documentation: Update daily tracking tools, compile as-built and completion documentation, and ensure traceability of installed piping systems.

Test Preparation: Support the preparation and execution of pressure tests, hydrostatic tests, and commissioning inspections for the piping systems.
Required skills
A Piping Supervisor in the construction phase of a nuclear project should possess the following skills:

Strong knowledge of industrial and nuclear piping systems.

Proficiency in reading isometric drawings, P&IDs, and prefabrication files.

Knowledge of applicable standards and codes: RCC-M, EN13480, ESPN.

Experience in supervising piping and welding teams on construction sites.

Strong focus on quality, traceability, and nuclear safety culture.

Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
