Main missions

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the initial installation of electrical systems in wind turbines, including wiring, electrical connections, and electronic components. He ensures compliance with technical standards and safety during installation.

He performs preventive maintenance on electrical equipment of wind turbines by conducting regular inspections, replacing faulty components, and checking lightning protection systems and surge protectors.

In case of malfunction or breakdown, he intervenes to diagnose and resolve electrical problems by conducting tests, measurements, and repairs on electrical circuits and electronic components of wind turbines.

He also coordinates with operations and maintenance teams to schedule interventions, ensure availability of spare parts, and ensure continuity of electricity production.

Job activities

  • Electrical Installation: Install and connect electrical components of wind turbines, including cables, electrical cabinets, transformers, and control systems.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment, perform cleaning and greasing operations, and replace worn or defective parts.

  • Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical faults in wind turbines using measurement tools and diagnostic equipment to locate and resolve problems.

  • Testing and Verification: Perform functional tests and safety checks on electrical systems, following established procedures and ensuring compliance with current standards.

  • Coordination of Interventions: Plan electrical maintenance interventions in collaboration with operational teams, ensure resource availability, and meet deadlines.
