Job activities

A drilling supervisor will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Supervision of drilling operations: The drilling supervisor is responsible for supervising all drilling activities on site, including setting up equipment, performing drilling procedures, controlling drilling parameters and monitoring. of security.

  • Drilling crew management: The drilling supervisor leads the drilling crews in the field, ensuring that each crew member understands their duties and responsibilities. He coordinates the activities of the team to ensure efficient and consistent execution of drilling operations.

  • Application of safety procedures: Safety is a top priority in drilling operations. The drilling supervisor ensures that proper safety procedures are followed at all times. He identifies potential risks, implements preventive measures and trains the team to adopt safe work practices.

  • Managing problems and contingencies: Drilling may encounter unforeseen technical or operational problems. The drilling supervisor is responsible for resolving these issues quickly and efficiently, making appropriate decisions in the field and coordinating the actions necessary to minimize disruptions.

  • Performance and quality monitoring: The drilling supervisor monitors drilling performance in terms of speed, efficiency and quality. He evaluates drilling data, recordings and key performance indicators to ensure that objectives are met and quality standards are met.

  • Communication and collaboration: The drilling supervisor ensures smooth and effective communication with the drilling teams, other members of the management team and external stakeholders.
