Founded in 2008 by Nicolas Kotliar and Armand Pasteur, Altea Energy specializes in technical assistance and engineering support in the energy sector.
Since its creation, the company has successfully diversified its activities. Historically focused on oil and gas, Altea Energy is now increasingly active in renewable energies and nuclear power, reinforcing its ambition to support client projects in France, across Europe, and internationally by providing qualified consultants.

“Five years ago, Altea Energy made a strategic shift toward the nuclear sector, which has become essential in the face of global energy challenges,” says Gaëtan Jury, Nuclear Division Manager at Altea Energy.
The stakes of Nuclear Energy: a key to the Energy Transition
In the face of climate urgency, nuclear power is central to energy strategies. While many countries are turning to cleaner alternatives, nuclear energy stands out for its ability to produce large quantities of energy with a low carbon footprint and minimal greenhouse gas emissions.
“What’s particularly interesting about nuclear energy is its high energy density, which allows for significant energy production without requiring large areas or consuming vast amounts of resources,” says Gaëtan Jury.
Altea Energy: a strengthened position to meet Nuclear Sector needs in France, Europe and beyond
France, the third-largest country in the world in terms of the number of reactors, relies heavily on nuclear energy for its supply. Altea Energy aims to contribute to this dynamic by positioning itself as a trusted partner for sourcing and mobilizing experts in areas such as new plant construction (e.g., EPR2 reactor projects), maintenance of existing facilities, and spent nuclear fuel management (e.g., Orano projects).
“Our expertise enables us to meet the skills needs of these programs by mobilizing qualified consultants across the various required technical fields.”
Altea Energy’s ambitions go beyond France.
“We have three strategic hubs driving our growth: France, which enables us to reach across the EU; the UK, a particularly specific market since Brexit; and the United Arab Emirates, where we have a historic presence and offer technical expertise to support the Barakah nuclear power plant’s staffing needs,” explains Gaëtan Jury.
Certifications as Guarantees of Quality and Safety
In such a demanding sector as nuclear, Altea Energy places the highest importance on quality and safety. The company is certified ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). It also holds Qualianor certification (radiation protection) and is currently in the process of obtaining ISO 19443, a standard specific to the nuclear sector.
“ISO 19443 ensures that suppliers of nuclear products and services meet high standards for quality, safety, and compliance,” explains Gaëtan Jury.
The Qualianor certification allows Altea Energy to monitor the dosimetry of personnel working in controlled zones – a further guarantee of operational rigor in accordance with industry standards.
Altea Energy: always looking for new talent
As it expands into the nuclear sector, Altea Energy is looking for a wide range of profiles: design engineers, project managers, supervisors, and work inspectors across disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, piping, welding, and civil engineering.
“Consultants who join our expert community will have the opportunity to take part in major projects, both in France and internationally, and to contribute to the transformation of the global energy landscape,” concludes Gaëtan Jury.
Committed to quality, safety, and innovation, the Altea Energy team is ready to support major players in the nuclear industry by providing top talent to meet the energy challenges of tomorrow.
