Main missions

The Logistics Manager oversees all logistics activities related to the supply chain, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and on-site deliveries. He/She collaborates closely with procurement, engineering, safety, production, and maintenance departments to ensure smooth and secure operations in line with nuclear safety standards.

He/She plays a strategic role in project logistics planning by anticipating needs, managing technical constraints (classified items, sensitive equipment), and ensuring complete regulatory compliance and documentation. He/She supervises logistics teams onsite or in warehouses and ensures the correct application of safety and quality procedures.

Job activities

  • Logistics Flow Management: Organize and supervise inbound and outbound material and equipment flows at nuclear sites, ensuring safety, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supply Planning: Develop logistics plans based on project requirements, coordinate deliveries with suppliers, and anticipate lead times while considering technical and regulatory constraints.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management (equipment, spare parts, consumables), implement tracking indicators, and ensure the availability of critical items.
  • Transport and Handling: Manage the transport of equipment, including those requiring authorization (radioactive materials, sensitive components), in compliance with nuclear transport regulations and in coordination with approved carriers.
  • Team Supervision: Lead logistics teams (storekeepers, receiving agents, coordinators), set priorities, distribute tasks, and ensure ongoing training in safety protocols.
  • Project Interface and Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless logistics execution on site.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure logistics procedures comply with applicable standards (INB, ASN, ISO), and maintain proper documentation related to transport, receiving, warehousing, and inspection.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze logistics performance, identify areas for improvement (cost, lead times, reliability), and implement actions to increase supply chain efficiency.

Required skills

A Logistics Manager in the nuclear energy sector must possess the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of logistics procedures and regulations specific to the nuclear field (INB, transport of sensitive materials, etc.).
  • Experience managing complex flows, procurement planning, and multi-site coordination.
  • Proficiency with logistics management systems (ERP, WMS) and performance indicators.
  • Ability to lead field teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments (engineering, production, safety…).
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accuracy regarding documentation, traceability, and nuclear safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and make decisions in constrained environments.
  • Technical English proficiency for communication with international suppliers.
