Job Title ESP Technician

Job Summary

ESP Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs) and related equipment in oil wells. He will work closely with our operations team to ensure optimal pump performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize production.

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission ESP systems in oil wells, including pump installation, motor installation, and cable deployment

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ESP systems, including pump replacements, motor repairs, and cable refurbishment

• Troubleshoot and diagnose ESP system failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions

• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize pump performance, including parameter adjustments and optimization

• Conduct site visits to inspect ESP systems, identify potential issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks • Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize production

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and operations personnel

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and testing activities

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ESP system performance and reliability Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in ESP maintenance and repair, preferably in the oil and gas industry

• Strong understanding of ESP system design, operation, and troubleshooting

• Experience with ESP software and programming, including parameter adjustments and optimization

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including API and ISO standards

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Associate's degree or a diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
