Altea Energy at the Regional Employment Fair in El-Oued, Algeria

A concrete commitment to local employment and youth integration

On October 15 and 16, Altea Energy took part in the Regional Employment Fair for the Southeastern Provinces, held at the Mohamed El Amine LAAMOUDI Cultural Center in El-Oued.

This event, initiated by the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social security, is part of a national effort to strengthen youth employability, support private initiatives, and foster direct interaction between companies and job seekers.

A presence aligned with our HR and CSR commitments

Alongside many economic institutions from the province of Ouargla, as well as organizations from Touggourt, El-Oued, Biskra, El M’Ghair, and Ouled Djellal, Altea Energy proudly represented its regional footprint and its commitment to developing local skills.

“Our participation in this fair is fully in line with Altea Energy’s HR and CSR strategy. It reflects our strong desire to actively support local initiatives that promote employment, particularly for young graduates and talents from vocational training,” explains Hakim BETTAYEB, HR Manager at Altea Energy.

A dynamic and results-oriented networking platform

Organized around key highlights — on-site job interviews, career guidance workshops, and thematic conferences on project creation and funding opportunities — the event enabled direct and targeted interactions between recruiters and job seekers. It also contributed to strengthening public-private collaboration and promoting an entrepreneurial mindset.

“Events like this create a valuable space for dialogue, for understanding the expectations of young people, and for highlighting career opportunities in technical fields such as oil & gas or renewable energy,” adds Hakim BETTAYEB.

An engaged audience in search of opportunities

The Altea Energy booth welcomed a wide audience of young graduates, particularly from vocational training backgrounds, as well as experienced job seekers. Discussions focused on career prospects in technical roles, especially within the oil & gas sector, which remains a major employer in the region.

“We used this fair as a platform to deliver a clear message: opportunities exist for those ready to contribute to major technical projects. Altea Energy is here to support these talents on their career journey and connect them with our industrial clients — both in Algeria and internationally,” concludes Hakim BETTAYEB.

Official recognition and promising outlooks

The event concluded with an official ceremony, during which Altea Energy was awarded a Certificate of Participation, acknowledging its involvement and valuable contribution to this local employment initiative.

This participation is in line with other initiatives supported by Altea Energy – such as the Skills Olympics – and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to actively supporting the regions where it operates.

Acknowledgements

“On behalf of the entire Altea Energy team, I would like to express our sincere thanks to the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social security and to all the organizers of the Southeastern Regional Employment Fair in El Oued for their warm welcome and professionalism.

We also extend our thanks to the many candidates, apprentices, students, visitors, and institutional representatives we met over the course of these two days filled with valuable exchanges and opportunities.

Promoting local employment and supporting youth are key pillars of our HR and CSR strategy in Algeria.

For several years now, Altea Energy has been actively leveraging its energy and recruitment expertise to serve younger generations — with the aim of reducing youth unemployment and contributing to the sustainable development of the southern regions.

A special thank you to Hakim BETTAYEB, HR Manager at Altea Energy, for his presence at the fair and his dedication to the success of this initiative.”
