On 20 October 2026, Station F in Paris will host Meet’Up Greentech 2026, the annual event dedicated to innovation for the green transition.
Altea Energy will be represented by Paul Vergnes, Head of Growth, who will meet with companies and organisations developing and delivering low-carbon energy and industrial projects in France.
Meet’Up Greentech: the annual green innovation event
Organised by Ecolab, part of the French Ministry for Ecological Transition, in partnership with organisations including Bpifrance, ADEME, Banque des Territoires and La French Tech, this G7-endorsed forum brings together GreenTech startups, investors, major industrial groups, local authorities, public organisations and environmental innovation experts.
The program includes:
- Conferences and pitches from startups seeking investment.
- Reverse pitches from public-sector buyers and major corporations.
- Business meetings and the presentation of the new cohort of startups selected for the Greentech Innovation 2026 programme.
The 2025 edition attracted more than 2,700 participants, including over 1,000 startups and 270 investors.
Understanding the operational challenges facing project developers
With meetings scheduled with existing clients and opportunities to connect with new market players, the Altea Energy team is approaching the event with a clear objective.
“Our main objective is to meet the companies and organisations developing and delivering tomorrow’s energy and industrial projects. We want to better understand their operational challenges, identify their technical expertise requirements and create new opportunities for collaboration,” explains Paul Vergnes, Head of Growth at Altea Energy.
The event also provides a valuable opportunity to gain insights into market developments.
« Meet’Up Greentech is an opportunity for us to take the pulse of the French energy transition market, better understand its current dynamics and identify emerging technologies and projects,” adds Paul Vergnes.
Industrial companies, energy project developers, engineering firms, infrastructure construction and operations companies: the team is particularly keen to engage with those directly responsible for project delivery.
“Our priority is to meet operational managers, understand the challenges they face and identify the expertise they will need to successfully deliver their projects,” he says.
A French energy market undergoing major transformation
Low-carbon energy, electricity infrastructure and industrial decarbonisation: investment is growing across France.
For Paul Vergnes, the successful delivery of these projects depends on one common factor across all sectors.
“Beyond the specific characteristics of each sector, we see one shared challenge: the ability to mobilise the right technical expertise at the right time to turn these investments into operational projects,” he explains.
For Altea Energy, key opportunities lie in nuclear energy, offshore wind, hydrogen, electricity infrastructure and major low-carbon industrial projects.
Experienced technical experts, ready to mobilise quickly
On the ground, energy companies and project owners have clear expectations. Above all, they are looking for experienced technical professionals who can be mobilised quickly and integrate effectively into their project teams.
Key areas of expertise include project management, planning, construction supervision, quality, HSE, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and commissioning.
“The challenge is not simply finding someone with the right technical skills. It is also ensuring their availability, mobility and suitability for the project’s operational requirements,” emphasises Paul Vergnes.
This is where Altea Energy provides end-to-end support to its clients: sourcing and supplying technical experts, managing international mobility (contracts, logistics and immigration), and handling consultants’ contractual administration and payroll in compliance with local regulations.
Supporting GreenTech startups as they scale up to industrial production
Startups and major industrial groups often face similar technical challenges, but at different stages of maturity and on different scales. Moving from prototype development to industrialisation is a critical milestone.
“When a startup moves from a prototype to its first industrial facility, it may need highly specialised expertise without necessarily having the resources or visibility required to immediately build a permanent team,” observes Paul Vergnes.
At this stage, Altea Energy can mobilise experienced experts to support engineering, construction, commissioning and industrial scale-up.
“Getting involved in the early stages of a project allows us to build a relationship of trust and support the company as it scales up to larger industrial operations,” he adds.
Meet the Altea Energy team at Station F
Paul Vergnes will attend Meet’Up Greentech on 20 October to connect with energy and industrial project developers.
“If you are developing an industrial or energy project and need to strengthen your technical teams, let’s talk. Above all, we want to understand your activities, your projects and your future requirements, so we can identify where Altea Energy could support you,” they conclude.
