Altea Energy signs a training agreement with the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Vocational Training in Ouargla, Algeria

Ouargla, January 30, 2024 – In line with the partnership agreement signed between Altea Energy and the University of Ouargla in December 2021, the employment directorate of Ouargla and the vocational training directorate of the Wilaya of Ouargla signed this Tuesday, January 30th, a training agreement for 3 years with Altea Energy, represented by El Hachemi OUKIL, Country Manager Algeria.

 

A look back at the main commitments of this agreement which took place in the Wilaya of Ouargla in the presence of its secretary general delegated by the Wali of Ouargla and local authorities.

1. Helping younger generations in their professional integration process and their employability

As part of this partnership, Altea Energy is committed for the next three years (2024-2027) to help younger generations in their professional integration process and to strengthen their employability.

These actions contribute not only to the individual development of young graduates, but also to the socio-economic development of the region.

This commitment aims to actively contribute to professional growth and in particular to:

  • Providing internship opportunities and practical training programs to enable young people to develop specific skills to the energy sector and discover Altea Energy’s area of ​​expertise,
  • Offer skills development programs that go beyond technical skills, including training in interpersonal skills, problem solving, etc.

2. Create mentoring programs where Altea Energy’s experts share their knowledge with younger generations

The training agreement also provides the launch of mentoring programs where experienced experts from the Altea Energy team will be able to guide and advise young graduates and trainees.

“This mentoring program’s objective is to promote the professional and personal development of young talents. Our work base and technical workshops will be made available to interns for on-site visits to discover the business world.”, explains El Hachemi OUKIL, Country Manager of Altea Energy.

3. Strengthen Altea Energy’s involvement locally (South Algeria) and nationally (Algeria)

Altea Energy is an economic operator that has been operating in Algeria for more than 10 years in the oil and gas and energy sector in general. The company invests in concrete training actions for young graduates, aligned with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy.
