Oil & Gas manpower for Bolloré Mozambique

Bolloré chooses Altea Energy to provide specialized Oil & Gas personnel for an onshore drilling campaign in Temane, Inhambane province, Mozambique.

With 23 billion euros revenues in 2018 and 81 000+ employees, Bolloré is counting among the 500 largest firms worldwide, with strong positions in all its activities: Transportation and logistics, Communication, and Electricity Storage and Systems.

Bolloré is leader in transportation and logistics in Africa, and provides freight forwarding, logistics and warehousing services to Oil & Gas projects in Mozambique. Headquarters are based in Maputo, with several branches in the country, in Beira, Inhambane, Tete, Nacala, Quelimane, and Pemba.

Outsourcing expatriates for high qualified positions

As part of his key mission to manage staff provision for Bolloré in Mozambique, Basilio C., HR Director, worked closely with Altea Energy to provide high skilled logistics personnel for an onshore drilling campaign in Temane, Inhambane province.

In Mozambique, “the main challenge that we face in Human Resources is around the provision of management level positions, as local candidates usually do not have the right skills to fulfil the position requirements, especially for oil & gas positions. Bolloré usually needs to hire expatriates to fill this gap of competencies”, explains Basilio C.

Altea Energy expert in Oil & Gas manpower provision

With more than 10 years’ experience in drilling projects and a local presence in Mozambique, ALTEA Energy is well equipped to provide the best resources for Oil & Gas projects needs locally. “In most cases, when a Client is looking for personnel, we try to fill the position with our internal staff. When we cannot respond to the Client’s needs, we approach ALTEA Energy for experts in Oil & Gas”, underlines Basilio C.

Outsourcing personnel to save time in recruitment & HR paperwork

For Bolloré, there are many added values to outsourcing this service to a human resource consulting company like ALTEA Energy. According to Basilio C., the “advantage of outsourcing the provision of personnel, is that the company will deal with the employment process and all the HR paperwork. This helps us maximising our time & our resources”. Also, “all the negotiation phase with the consultants is managed by ALTEA Energy, which is an advantage in terms of time and management” adds Basilio C.

A successful collaboration between Bolloré and Altea Energy teams

Throughout the years, ALTEA Energy has built a strong relationship with Bolloré’s local recruitment team. Basilio C. outlines: “For expatriates needs, we worked exclusively with ALTEA Energy since I took over this position in 2018”. And Basilio to conclude: the main strengths of ALTEA Energy are “the staff quality, team efficiency, team responsiveness and flexibility with regards to Client’s requirements which illustrate the excellence in (their) job, and which we appreciate”.
