Well Services Superintendent

Reports to Well Engineering Manager

Purpose of Job

Manage the rigless offshore activities.The main role is to coordinate, direct and review rigless operations in accordance with company procedures, programs and budget, pursuing the best results in terms of safety, time and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Well Service Superintendent is expected to be an experienced individual who is capable of designing and supervising day-to-day operations. He will have strong technical skills as well as project management skills. He will ensure that the project is delivered in compliance with all the relevant requirements, such as legislation, procedural and financial.
  • Responsible for design and well operations/ services activities, including but not limited to the Slick line, electric line, coiled tubing, stimulation, well clean-up and production testing operations, through tubing fishing, production logging and perforating, well integrity diagnostics, zonal isolation, water/gas shut-off, scale removal and inhibition, surface and bottom hole sampling, wellhead repairs, workover, plug and abandonment and any associated Well operations that may be carried out during the life cycle of a well. Site visit to the WO unit for critical activities.
  • Make recommendations when completion/workover/well intervention problems arise to get them solved.
  • Direct and monitor well intervention/services operations on a daily basis to ensure operations were complying with the agreed program.
  • Coordinate and lead onsite Risk Assessments related to your area of responsibility.
  • A thorough review of the procedures developed by the Well Engineer.
  • To supervise technical performance ensuring the correct implementation of Safety well services Policies and Procedures, and to ensure that operations comply with Company policies.
  • To provide feedback in order to improve future well services programs.
  • Performs duties in accordance with the broad direction, Company policies, Senior Management’s directives and Company standards.
  • Defines goals and objectives to guide his team in the development of working methods and procedures.
  • To prepare, control and deliver well intervention budget in accordance with asset business plans.
  • To discuss, agree and deliver work-plan and associated KPIs for the well intervention team.
  • To provide HSEQ leadership and management of the well intervention/ services team.
  • To provide technical leadership & guidance in both routine and innovative solutions to deliver improved services/ intervention costs and associated well productivity.
  • To coordinate and lead well intervention/ services team.
  • To be responsible for timely routine daily, monthly and annual reporting from the well intervention team.
  • To be responsible for timely provision of all well services/ intervention related paperwork.
  • To be responsible for ensuring all lessons learned are captured at the end of each well-work job.

Main Interfaces

Internal Interfaces

  • Contacts shall be held with Company’s positions linked to the performance of well operations offshore. Typical interfaces are: Logistic/Transport Dept; offshore Production Team, Wells Team.

External Interfaces

  • Contact shall be held with Contractors at the well site with the scope of organizing and coordinating the works, ensuring availability and assessing conformance with specifications and HSE requirements of services, materials and equipment at the well site.

Qualification Requirements

Work Experience

  • Essential: 15- 20 years of work experience related to drilling, well intervention and workover mainly in offshore environment.
  • Having good experience in Workover activities and familiar with jack up rig HWO / Snubbing unit in offshore environment
  • Preferably and a plus in evaluation:
  • Familiar with international standards related to best industry practice and partners standards.
  • Work experience in H2S environment.

Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of well servicing (slick line, CT, pumping, treatments) equipment, technology, and workflows.
  • Fluent in oral and written English language.
  • Thorough knowledge of HSE best practices.
  • Valid H2S training certificate
  • Level 4 IWCF
