Weld supervisor

Location: Switzerland

Project: Outage 2026

Working Hours: Up to 60 hours per week, including weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all welding operations on-site
• Distribute welding consumables and equipment (e.g., tungsten electrodes, welding gases) to welders
• Ensure welding work is performed in strict accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Conduct visual inspections of weld seams in collaboration with the client’s quality department
• Coordinate NDT testing (PT & RT) with external testing companies, in line with the Inspection & Testing (I&T) Plan
• Document and record inspection and testing results in accordance with I&T plans, together with the customer representative
• Maintain and update the welding log and ensure traceability of welds
• Attend and participate in bi-weekly quality meetings with the client

Requirements

• Certified Welding Specialist (IIW)
• Certified in Visual Testing of Welds - Level 2 (VT) according to ISO 9712
• Fluent in German (spoken and written) is advantage
• Valid certification for working at heights and in confined spaces
• Valid radiation passport and medical clearance for work in radiologically controlled areas
• Holder of a Swiss work permit allowing up to 60 hours/week including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in nuclear or highly regulated industrial environments
• Strong understanding of safety and quality compliance standards
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
