  • Assess hydrodynamic loading conditions and soil-structure interaction.
  • Review and validate FE models developed using ANSYS, Abaqus, SACS, and OrcaFlex.
  • Ensure compliance with DNV, API 17D, API RP 2A, ISO 13628, and related industry standards.

Structural Layout & Deliverables

  • Develop general arrangement (GA) drawings, structural layouts, mudmats, and foundations.
  • Review and evaluate protection structures such as mattresses and rock dumping systems.
  • Prepare and review interface drawings with pipeline, controls, and umbilical systems.

Installation Engineering Support

  • Provide engineering input for lifting design, rigging, and offshore handling requirements.
  • Review installation procedures for lowering, positioning, tie-in operations, and subsea deployment.
  • Support offshore campaigns including load-out, transportation, and installation activities.

Interface & Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with pipeline, subsea controls, umbilical, and geotechnical engineering teams.
  • Support fabrication yards in welding, NDT, coating, and dimensional control activities.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and 3D model review sessions.

Material & Fabrication Support

  • Review welding procedures (WPS), qualification records (PQR), NDT plans, coating specifications, and fabrication tolerances.
  • Support FAT and SIT related to structural components and interfaces.

Integrity & Operational Support

  • Support in-service structural integrity assessments.
  • Review ROV/Diver inspection reports, as-built documentation, and anomaly findings.
  • Update structural models for life-of-field evaluations and reassessments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
  • Master’s degree in Offshore, Structural, or Ocean Engineering (preferred).
  • 5-12 years of subsea/offshore structural engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS, Abaqus, SACS, or OrcaFlex.
  • Strong understanding of API, DNV, and ISO standards.
  • Offshore exposure (installation support, inspection, FAT/SIT) preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
