Senior Engineer, Pipes and coating in Supply Chain

Responsibilities

 

The Senior Engineer is responsible for coordinating all activities related to supply on the following aspects:

  • Manage suppliers consultations related to the pipes and coating scope in coordination with the technical authority and other disciplines involved in the tender / project.
  • Perform commercial and contractual analysis, schedule evaluation of bids, and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering, QA, QC & HSE.
  • Finalize the bid summary and make recommendations to the Project.
  • Prepare the drafting and negotiation of the contracts (and framework agreements if any)
  • Develop commercial expertise in the pipes and coating category.
  • Participate in sourcing new pipes and coating suppliers.
  • Develop collaborative relationship with suppliers and knowledge of key suppliers (organization, processes, plants, …)

 

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business)
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years industry experience
  • Good understanding of the overall technical issue and a good knowledge of the offshore industry and its specificities and of complex items
  • Technical awareness of pipes and coating standards and products
  • Previous experience in management of pipes and coating subcontract would be a plus
  • Good written and oral communication in English, French speaking would be a plus.
