Onshore Logistics Material Superintendent

Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Main Activities

Ø Supervise lifting operations in Logistics Bases, supporting the relevant Person In Charge in verifying correct slinging of all materials and signing off relevant papers.

Ø Check proper loading of materials onto trucks.

Ø Coordinate the operations in client Cote d’Ivoire yards or quay, organizing the proper storage, in accordance with best practices and Company rules, of all materials, highlighting any issue to line managers

Ø Manage Company stock in accordance with relevant line managers, operating with SAP software in order to ensure proper traceability of material and materials’ proper cost channelling.

Ø Produce reports and supporting internal audit, if need be, relevant to all Company contracts on the matter, to control costs and value of Company materials and stock.

Ø Maintain updated, and verify physically, the coherence between physical stock and actual materials presently stored, pointing out to line managers all discrepancies.

Ø Activates, follows and ensure that preservation of material accordingly to API standard, or relevant stands for specific material and COMPANY procedures.

Mandatory Certifications or Diploma:

Ø Master Degree (preferably in Technical subjects)

Ø Basic Safety Training.

Ø Certification in SAP MM, issued by SAP Training

Ø Preferred: Lean Six Sigma green belt and APICS certification - CPIM

Ø The following certifications are required, for P.I.C.:

o LOLER & PUWER Awareness course

o OPITO approved Banksman/signaler Stage 3

Skills & Experience:

Ø at least 5 years of experience in the logistics-material field, preferably in O&G business

Ø Working knowledge of English and French language

Ø Computer literate, particularly in the Office package, and familiarity in learning new software

Ø Knowledge of stock policies - Min/Max ; EOQ ; JIT ; KANBAN etc

Ø Knowledge of WMS, MRP and ERP systems

Ø Ability to produce reports
