Contract Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contracting activities related to drilling, wells, rigs, well services, and marine logistics.
  • Prepare, draft, review, and negotiate contracts and contractual documentation.
  • Support procurement activities throughout the complete contracting cycle.
  • Prepare and manage tender and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define contractual and procurement requirements.
  • Participate in the evaluation and analysis of commercial and contractual offers.
  • Conduct negotiations with contractors and suppliers to establish appropriate contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure contracts are prepared and executed in accordance with Company and Group standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Provide contractual and procurement support to operational and business teams.
  • Monitor contracting activities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify contractual, commercial, and procurement issues and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete contractual documentation and records.
  • Ensure proper use and application of relevant Contracts & Procurement (C&P) systems and tools.
  • Support contract administration and provide contractual guidance throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders and contribute to successful project delivery.

Required Professional Experience:

  • 7-10 years of professional experience in contracts within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Significant experience preferably acquired within TotalEnergies.
  • Relevant experience in:
    • Rig contracting
    • Drilling services
    • Wells services
    • Drilling and wells procurement
    • Marine logistics
  • Previous experience in a similar position within TotalEnergies is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Advanced level of competence in contract writing and negotiation.
