Offshore Wind Transportation & Installation Project Engineer

Missions / Service Dimensions

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical evaluation, definition, interfacing, and preparation of the Transportation & Installation (T&I) activities related to all offshore components, ensuring compliance with contractual strategy, construction permit obligations, and overall project schedule.

Main Activities

  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of T&I activities across offshore wind components: substructures, WTGs, and cables
  • Support development of COMOPS / SIMOPS philosophies and emergency response plans
  • Promote HSE culture and compliance with all safety and quality procedures
  • Review and comment on all technical documentation related to T&I (methods, sea-fastening, lifting, installation procedures)
  • Prepare T&I schedules in coordination with the Planning team
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and interface meetings
  • Support tender processes for T&I packages: technical specifications, clarifications, and contract award recommendations
  • Follow contractor engineering and execution preparation, providing feedback and managing deviations
  • Simulate logistics and installation sequences and review marine warranty survey requirements
  • Ensure quality reporting of activities and compliance with HSEQ KPIs

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or related field

Experience

    • Minimum 10 years in offshore wind or Oil & Gas projects (T&I or EPC roles)
    • Practical experience in offshore installation operations (load-out, sea-fastening, lifting)
    • Experience working with or for T&I contractors is a strong asset

Languages

    • English: Fluent (mandatory)
    • French: Fluent (preferred)
    • Danish: Appreciated

Skills

    • Strong technical and organizational capabilities
    • Proactive and autonomous with attention to cost and schedule
    • Proficient in reviewing and issuing technical documentation
    • Excellent communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams
    • Ability to work independently and drive deliverables through to completion
