REPORT TO: Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent

LOCATION: Field WORK ROTATION: 28 Days On / 28 Days off Cycle

Contract Duration: One year rewenable

Job Summary

The Client is a service company operating in the Oil & Gas sector performing work across various disciplines to support our customer's operations, maintenance, and projects. We are currently looking for an experienced Instrumentation Supervisor to join our professional team. The Instrument Supervisor will be a key member in building in a highly effective manner and engaged in our operations team and will support the delivery of jobs required at site.

We are currently looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer Supervisor to join our services team. The Instrumentation Supervisor will be responsible for installation, calibration and maintenance services at the field. The Engineer should be familiar with systems utilizing flow, pressure, level & temperature switches/transmitters etc. and connections to a DCS system. The job role may determine instrumentation installed on water treatment plants, compressed air systems etc. and all utilities associated with an onshore/offshore based facility as well as the wellhead instrumentation for ESD and control systems.

The Instrument Supervisor requires with an excellent project management skills, commissioning & start-up and technical understanding to provide support.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all works are carried out in line with the HSE policies and that all personnel under direction are aware of the policies.
  • Ensure HSE audits are carried out in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Carry out installation, calibration, maintenance, and commissioning of all field-based instrumentation and associated cabling, tubing etc.
  • Review of customer warehouse instrumentation stock levels highlighting shortages, ordering and following up of orders.
  • On completion of works ensure all relevant documentation, inspection certificates, P&IDs etc are updated for integration with previous documentations.
  • Provide support as required to large projects executed in the field such that they can be completed timely.
  • Maintain good communications with all customers and contractors.

Experience and Profile Requirements

  • Graduate of Instrumentation Engineering
  • With 10-12 years related experience in instrumentation as applied to upstream oil field facilities, preferably in a remote desert environment.
  • Experience in working with a multi-disciplined, multinational team of professional oil field staff
  • General knowledge of PTW systems as applied to oil production facilities.
  • Flexible approach to work for the incorporation of unexpected requirements.
  • Ability to define/identify and analyze problems.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant international standards
  • Computer literate, MS Office, MS Project.
  • Work Ethics
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours to meet customer requirements and available for short-notice travel in support of emergency call-outs at customer sites. Exhibit an ability to work in a high conductive environment.
