Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Missions/Service Dimensions

The service holder will supervise activities related to drilling and completion fluids, cementing and waste management at the wellsite, assuring that operations are carried out according to HSEQ Company’s procedures, O&G standards and engineering practices, time and cost effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities

Technical integrity, efficiency of mud, cement and completion fluids.

- Waste management according to local legislation and Company policy

  • Geology and Reservoir Departments
  • Logistic Department

Services Companies

Main Activities

  • Supervising operational activities related to drilling and completion fluids, cementing and waste management at the wellsite
  • Reviewing drilling and completion fluids programs as well as cementing programs, to ensure the plan is done in accordance to operational safety Company’s procedures and well integrity
  • Supervising and coordinating activity of Contractors personnel involved in the operations at the wellsite
  • Monitoring the consumptions and stock of products/materials in order to avoid any delay in the operations
  • Reporting on regular basis operations progress and fluids characteristics, ensuring lessons learnt and related recommendations are captured and shared

Participating as a member of the emergency task force in event of emergency, taking actions to protect personnel, environment and assets

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Required Experience: at least 10 years in the position

Languages: English intermediate level (minimum)

Other Observations

  • Duties to be carried out in compliance with Company Code of Ethics and Internal Control System.
