Key Accountabilities

  • Working full time at all assigned locations in Algiers, SAHARA, Hassi Messaoud, and abroad.
  • Assisting in the pre-construction development of projects by defining scope and specifications of work, contract strategies, and contractual forms to procure engineering, procurement, and/or construction works. Also, assisting in bidding and evaluating engineering, procurement, and/or construction works from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  • Undertaking construction management and serving as the company's site representative in business development, project development, and project execution phases.
  • Reviewing construction documents and drawings related to the project, such as method statements, schedules, procedures, payments, invoices, test reports, material certificates, lifting procedures, etc.
  • Coordinating with the team and providing support on relevant issues to ensure the effective completion of projects.
  • Enforcing HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensuring that the quality of design calculations and drawings produced align with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards, Safety, and Quality Control.
  • Implementing and enforcing quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of construction.
  • Liaising with all stakeholders, including local authorities (such as ARH, CTC, Wilaya, DGM, ABHS), local contractors, existing plants, and any other internal and external parties involved.
  • Prepare and present progress reports and updates.

Professional Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Mech/Elec Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in project and construction management, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the oil & gas sector. Familiarity with production facilities construction (Wellsite, flowline, CPF, Gathering hub, BDV, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong skills in time and cost management, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to interface with multiple engineering disciplines, local authorities, and the project team.
  • Fluent in English for listening, reading, speaking, and writing (Minimum 650 TOEIC score).
  • Fluent in French for listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
  • Ability to travel and work in Algiers, SAHARA, and abroad.
  • Proficient in using MS Office.
  • Able to work under pressure and in remote environments.
  • Flexible, diligent, productive, and adaptive.
