[NUCLEAR] Radiation Protection: Altea Energy renews its Qualianor certification for three years

Altea Energy announces the renewal of its Qualianor certification, a standard dedicated to radiation protection in the nuclear sector, following the renewal audit conducted on July 30, 2026.

The Group has been recertified for another three-year period, confirming the robustness of its radiation protection management system, three years after obtaining its initial certification in 2023.

Radiation protection: a key pillar of health and safety on nuclear sites

Since diversifying into the nuclear sector in 2021, Altea Energy has been committed to ensuring an optimal level of protection for all consultants deployed on nuclear sites in France.

Qualianor certification specifically enables Altea Energy to assess and monitor the level of exposure to ionizing radiation that consultants may face while carrying out their assignments on nuclear sites.

This commitment is supported by a dedicated management system, including:

  • distribution of individual dosimeters,
  • integration of data into the SISERI database,
  • individual exposure monitoring through the Pandore platform, developed by our partner Ingéris Consulting,
  • and support from an external Radiation Protection Advisor (CRP).

This framework is further strengthened by Altea Energy’s ISO 45001 certification, held since 2020, which supports the Altea Energy’s broader health and safety policy.

First obtained in 2023, the Qualianor certification was subsequently confirmed with no major non-conformities during the surveillance audits conducted in September 2024 and November 2025 at Altea Energy’s headquarters in Saint-Cloud.

The audit conducted on July 30, 2026, marked the full certification renewal cycle, which is carried out every three years by the certification body.

A renewal audit confirming the effectiveness of the system

Conducted by the Qualianor certification body, the renewal audit on July 30, 2026, reviewed all requirements of the certification standard, including:

  • document management,
  • regulatory compliance,
  • dosimetry monitoring,
  • training and qualifications,
  • medical examinations,
  • risk assessment,
  • and internal governance of the system.

The audit identified eight compliant points to be monitored over time, as well as one minor non-conformity, which has since been addressed by Altea Energy’s HSE teams, reflecting a continuous improvement approach that is fully aligned with the philosophy of the certification.

“The non-conformity identified during the audit was minor. Corrective actions were quickly defined and implemented to address and close it. We see this type of observation as an opportunity for continuous improvement, fully integrated into our quality approach,” explains Mohand Toudert, HSE Supervisor and Radiation Protection Manager at Altea Energy.

The auditor concluded that the audit objectives had been achieved, that the management system incorporates the requirements of the certification standard, that it is effectively implemented and maintained, and that it is considered compliant and effective.

Following the audit, Altea Energy successfully renewed its Qualianor certification for a further three-year period.

A framework driven by the HSE teams

“This renewal confirms the robustness of our management system and enables us to continue our activities within a recognized and proven framework. In practical terms, for our HSE teams, it means continuity in our monitoring, support and continuous improvement processes. For our consultants on site, it provides the assurance of rigorous monitoring, clearly defined requirements and constant vigilance in terms of health, safety and radiation protection,” explains Mohand Toudert.

“This Qualianor recertification confirms the maturity of Altea Energy’s management system. Three years after our initial certification, it demonstrates our ability to embed radiation protection requirements into our practices over the long term, with a continuous improvement approach fully integrated into our operations,” adds Pamela Bobillier, Business Transformation Director and Deputy Radiation Protection Manager.

A long-term commitment

This renewal confirms Altea Energy’s commitment to keeping its consultants’ exposure to ionizing radiation as low as reasonably achievable, in strict compliance with the regulatory requirements applicable to nuclear sites in France.

“Beyond regulatory compliance, this commitment strengthens the trust of our clients and consultants by ensuring high standards, effective risk management and a strong safety culture. It is a mark of professionalism and reliability in a sector where radiation protection is a critical priority,” concludes Pamela Bobillier.
