Location: Paris Area (with missions to fabrication yards and contractor sites)

Contract Type: Residential

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 years minimum - up to project duration (multi-year, renewable)

Key Responsibilities Quality & Management & Compliance
  • Ensure full implementation of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) across all UFR activities.
  • Verify that contractors’ Quality Management Systems comply with contractual requirements and international standards (ISO 9001 and others).
  • Ensure enforcement of contractual quality commitments and project specifications.
  • Monitor and control key quality processes including:
    • Quality audits
    • Non-conformance management (NC)
    • Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
    • KPI monitoring
    • Lessons learned and feedback processes

Contractor Oversight

  • Supervise and monitor daily contractor quality activities.
  • Review and approve contractor quality documentation, including:
    • Project Quality Plans
    • Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Quality procedures and specifications
  • Ensure contractor compliance with Company standards, technical requirements, and project objectives.
  • Identify gaps between contractor practices and project-specific quality requirements.

Inspection & Fabrication Follow-up

  • Coordinate and follow up quality activities at:
    • Manufacturing sites
    • Fabrication yards
    • Subcontractor facilities
  • Supervise and guide inspectors and site representatives.
  • Witness inspections and critical testing activities when required.

Documentation & Certification

  • Ensure preparation and validation of:
    • Quality dossiers
    • Manufacturing Record Books (MRB)
    • Certification packages for deliverables
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner.

Third-Party Coordination

  • Interface with third-party inspection and certification bodies.
  • Define inspection scope, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between third parties and project quality expectations.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor contractor performance and report quality issues and deviations.
  • Support service quality meetings and project reviews.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Company Project Quality Manager and quality team.
HSE & Compliance Responsibilities
  • Ensure all activities comply with Company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within all quality and inspection activities.
  • Ensure adherence to Company ethics, code of conduct, and anti-corruption policies.
Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
  • Minimum 10 years of experience on major projects
  • Proven experience in QA/QC roles within subsea or UFR packages
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • UFR systems (Umbilicals, Flowlines, Risers)
    • Subsea equipment and fabrication processes
    • Quality management systems (ISO 9001)
  • Experience with:
    • Quality audits and inspections
    • Non-conformance and CAPA management
    • Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Contractor quality surveillance

  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Languages
  • Fluent English required
