The T&I Engineering Service Provider will support the Foundation and Transport & Installation (T&I) Package for the Germany Offshore Wind Projects:

  • NordSee Energies 1 (NSE1)
  • NordSee Energies 2 (NSE2)
  • OstSee Energies (OSE)

The position involves close collaboration with the Package Lead and Project Management to drive engineering, execution planning, and contractual preparation for the T&I scope, including foundations, turbines, and inter-array cables (IAC). The role is central to ensuring interface alignment, regulatory compliance, and project milestone delivery.

Activities

Engineering & Technical Scope

  • Support the Package Lead in defining and implementing the T&I contractual strategy, including key elements such as noise mitigation, scour protection, and specific offshore lifting constraints.
  • Prepare and revise technical specifications and employer’s requirements for inclusion in CFT packages.
  • Ensure validity of design decisions via cost-benefit analysis, market feedback, weather downtime assessments, and ad-hoc logistics studies.

Tendering & Contractual Support

  • Participate in tender preparation, bid evaluation, contractor negotiations, and recommendations for award.
  • Support C&P (Contracts & Procurement) during contract finalization and follow-up.
  • Prepare and update budget forecasts and resource plans for upcoming project phases.

Interface & Coordination

  • Manage technical interfaces between packages: WTG, FOU, IAC, O&M, and internal teams (Permitting, Certification, Environment).
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure efficient coordination and performance alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Assist in logistics studies and planning for main equipment delivery, including marshalling port operations.

HSE & Quality

  • Contribute to development of Project Safety Philosophy for construction and offshore phases.
  • Review and validate contractor safety plans and their implementation at sites and ports.
  • Support creation of quality system related to lifting, marine ops, and logistics.
  • Implement surveillance plan for contracted scopes.

Regulatory & Permitting Alignment

  • Maintain close coordination with Permitting teams, especially regarding compliance with German offshore regulatory frameworks.
  • Ensure T&I activities align with certification and environmental constraints.

Project Management Contribution

  • Provide feedback to functional teams for continuous improvement.
  • Take on additional tasks as reasonably assigned by Project Management.

Context & Environment

TotalEnergies Renewables Deutschland GmbH is developing a 4.5 GW offshore wind portfolio in German waters, including projects in the North Sea (N-12.1, N-11.2) and the Baltic Sea (O-2.2).

This service supports the execution preparation phase of large-scale OFW projects following TotalEnergies’ successful 2023 & 2024 German federal auctions.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Engineering degree in Marine, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical disciplines
  • Proven experience in Offshore Wind T&I Engineering (foundations, turbines, cables)
  • Exposure to fabrication and offshore installation execution phase
  • Understanding of German regulatory environment for offshore wind
  • Experience preparing and following T&I-specific CFTs
  • Capable of drafting and reviewing technical and execution plans
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management across international teams, contractors, HQ, and affiliates
  • Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory), German (recommended)
  • Excellent communication, planning, and autonomous project management skills
