Snubbing Supervisor

Location: Offshore - Angola

Start Date: April 2026

Rotation: 35 days on / 35 days off

Contract Type: 12 months renewable

Key Responsibilities

Operational Supervision

  • Supervise offshore snubbing operations, including live well interventions under pressure
  • Ensure operations are executed in accordance with approved programs and procedures
  • Coordinate with production, well services, and drilling teams
  • Validate equipment readiness and ensure compliance with technical requirements
  • Oversee rig-up and rig-down of snubbing units
  • Monitor well control barriers and verify integrity throughout operations

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations
  • Lead daily safety meetings (Toolbox Talks, JSAs, risk assessments)
  • Apply Stop Work authority when required
  • Ensure well control procedures are properly implemented
  • Promote a strong safety culture within offshore teams

Performance & Reporting

  • Provide daily operational reports
  • Monitor operational efficiency and non-productive time
  • Support cost control and operational optimization
  • Participate in post-job analysis and lessons learned

Required Profile

Experience

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in well services operations
  • At least 5 years of experience as Snubbing Supervisor offshore
  • Proven experience with Hydraulic Snubbing Units (mandatory)
  • Strong background in live well interventions
  • Previous offshore experience in West Africa preferred

Education

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification

Certifications

  • Valid IWCF Well Control Level 4 (Supervisory Level)
  • Valid BOSIET
  • Valid offshore medical

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of snubbing operations and well control principles
  • Experience with high-pressure well environments
  • Solid understanding of offshore production operations
  • Ability to manage multicultural crews

Languages

  • Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory
  • English required

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in offshore environments
  • High level of safety awareness
  • Clear communication and reporting skills
