Senior Cost Controller

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide guidance to a team of cost control and contract administration professionals during project start-up and execution.
  • Lead participation in procurement processes to review technical scopes, volumes, execution strategies, and technical analysis in coordination with user departments and SCM.
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle including planning, execution, control, certification, modifications, and closure. Conduct follow-up meetings with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions (SOLPED), purchase orders, service orders and HES/HEM. Ensure proper cost allocation and accounting structure.
  • Participate in budgeting and annual procurement planning.
  • Ensure SAP cost management. Monitor future expenditure forecasts and deviations.
  • Validate invoicing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, SCM, Finance.
  • Manage contract changes.
  • Ensure document control and data integrity. Participate in audits.
  • Capture lessons learned.
  • Manage contract close-out.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas.
  • Experience in cost control and contract management.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience in SAP required; Spotfire, Power BI, Primavera, OpenWells preferred.
