Refractory gunning technicians

Job Summary

We are currently seeking experienced Refractory Gunning Technicians to join our team for major construction and commissioning projects in the Oil & Gas Downstream industry. This role is ideal for highly skilled professionals with a strong background in refractory applications and a commitment to safety and quality in high-temperature environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation and repair of refractory linings in industrial furnaces, boilers, reformers, and other high-temperature process equipment.
• Operate refractory gunning machines and apply materials using appropriate techniques to ensure proper adhesion and coverage.
• Work with a variety of refractory materials, including gunning mixes, castables, and pre-fired insulating bricks.
• Conduct quality checks during and after application to ensure alignment with project specifications and performance standards.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, isometric views, and technical documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly following all health and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with supervisors and construction teams to meet project timelines and resolve any technical challenges on-site.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of practical experience in refractory gunning work, preferably in refineries or petrochemical plants.
• Proficient in handling and maintaining gunning equipment and understanding its applications.
• Familiarity with castable refractory materials, insulating brick installation, and furnace lining techniques.
• Ability to work in high-temperature environments, confined spaces, and elevated areas.
• Strong knowledge of industry safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently or in teams.
