Location: Ringhals, Sweden (Partial remote work possible upon agreement)

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: December 31, 2025 (Extension possible)

Workload: Full-time (100%)

Key Responsibilities

Radiological Planning & Documentation:

  • Develop radiological assessments and measurement programs for decommissioning activities.
  • Conduct initial radiation protection assessments and survey radiological conditions.
  • Define and implement measurement techniques and radiological survey methods.
  • Provide expert guidance on radiology and radiation exposure.

Technical & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Prepare guidelines, instructions, and technical reports to ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards.
  • Conduct radiological reviews of waste management processes.
  • Collaborate with radiation protection teams to optimize shielding, exposure control, and waste handling.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Expertise:

  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams, providing technical leadership in radiological aspects.
  • Support decision-making by analyzing complex radiological data.
  • Act as an expert advisor on radiology-related challenges in decommissioning.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Radiophysics, Medical Physics, Nuclear Physics, or related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of radiology, dosimetry, and radiation measurement methodologies.
  • Experience in nuclear power, decommissioning, or radiation protection.

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in radiation measurement techniques and shielding calculations.
  • Ability to analyze complex radiological data and propose solutions.
  • Experience in technical documentation, safety reports, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses clearly.

  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and see the big picture.

Preferred Qualifications (Meritorious)

  • Experience in nuclear decommissioning projects.
  • Knowledge of radiological waste management and associated challenges.
  • Project management experience in nuclear or industrial environments.
