Quantity Surveyor

SCOPE OF SERVICE

CONTRACTOR’s PERSONNEL is accountable for the following activities:

  • Responsible for identifying all activities potentially claimable by EPC Contractor and back chargeable to EPC Contractor, on a day-to-day basis during Detailed Engineering, Onshore Fabrication /
  • Construction, Offshore Installation, Hook up and Commissioning.
  • Ensure that all related Bulk Quantity Adjustments are accurately monitored, as well as Price Adjustment Mechanism for Equipment Package Procurement and Vendor Services. Consequently,
  • Perform in-house estimation, provide all documentation to defend claims from EPC Contractor and support claims/back charges against EPC Contractor.

ACTIVITIES

  • Promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities,
  • Carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices,
  • Familiar with different types of Contract such as Lumpsum, Cost-Re-reimbursable, Cost+Fee and Unit Rate.
  • Evaluation of Change Order Request (COR), variation notices and Change Procedure Notifications (CPN) from EPC Contractor,
  • Strong background on preparation of BOQ, MTO and able to interpret drawings/P&ID’s.
  • Cost Estimation and Project Budget Forecasting.
  • Verifies the engineered quantities against the quantities actually completed for Progress Measurement.
  • Liaise with Contracts Engineer for evaluation of EPC Contractor claims/back charges.
  • Proper coordination and on-time reporting to COMPANY Management.
  • Assist Project Management Team (PMT) as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Have an Associate's or BS Engineering degree with extensive gas/oil industry experience.
  • Have strong working experience of Onshore/Offshore Construction and Commissioning activities.
  • Experience within Project: 15 years with at least with 10 years as Quantity Surveyor on Major oil & gas Projects
  • Ability to work in a Team oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Capable of proposing Project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to influence and encourage Personnel.
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
  • Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail communications.
  • Familiarity with ICAPs and PRODOM software will be a plus
  • Mandatory language is English & Local language based on EPC location (Mandarin for WHP and CPP, Korean for CPP)
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings
