QA/QC Manager

The Project QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the quality management framework for a large-scale onshore and offshore field development project. This includes quality oversight of major EPC/EPIC contracts covering offshore platforms, subsea production facilities, subsea control systems, offshore pipelines, onshore complex expansion, and drilling activities. The role ensures that all quality processes, procedures, and deliverables meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & System Development

  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish internal and contractor quality processes to ensure consistent and compliant execution.
  • Prepare project verification schemes and manage independent verification activities.
  • Coordinate the Management of Change (MOC) process and ensure integration into the QMS.
  • Support risk management by contributing to the project Risk Register from a quality perspective.

Contractor QA/QC Oversight

  • Review and approve contractor technical qualifications, quality procedures, and inspection plans, including NDT, welding, fabrication, hydrotesting, and related processes.
  • Oversee and monitor QA/QC implementation across all EPC/EPIC contracts throughout project execution.
  • Review and approve QA/QC deliverables, audit programs, and quality records from contractors.
  • Ensure alignment and compliance across disciplines and contractors involved in offshore and onshore project work scopes.

Quality Control & Audit Management

  • Develop project-wide quality control systems to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and conduct internal audits to verify compliance with QMS and project procedures.
  • Verify implementation and maintenance of the Document Control System across the project.

Turnover & Documentation

  • Coordinate preparation of document and system turnover packages.
  • Ensure all final documentation meets project requirements for handover and closeout.

Key Activities

  • Lead the development and implementation of project quality control systems.
  • Manage internal audit performance and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the organization's Document Control System.

Minimum & Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in QA/QC within the oil and gas or related heavy industry sector.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with proven ability to prepare specifications, procedures, and technical reports.
