Activities

  • Support the Pre-Commissioning Lead in coordinating interfaces between installation teams, contractors, onshore engineering, HSE, and commissioning.
  • Report technical issues requiring specific attention during documentation reviews or installation/mobilization progress meetings (Management of Change).
  • Act as client focal point for all pre-commissioning activities on vessels, yards, and onshore facilities.
  • Review and provide engineering input during procedure development and interface planning.
  • Provide verified reporting inputs for full activity tracking and mitigation of potential orders.
  • Develop strong working relationships with vessel operations teams.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, JSAs, HIRAs, and SIMOPS coordination.
  • Review and sign off offshore test records, pressure charts, OTDR traces, pigging logs, calibration certificates, and data sheets.
  • Ensure field documentation is complete, accurate, and suitable for handover dossiers.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and close-out reporting.
  • Promote and enforce safety expectations offshore and onshore.
  • Provide detailed daily reports including progress, deviations, risks, and forward planning.
  • Support preparation of internal client reporting, readiness dashboards, and post-job evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by the Pre-Commissioning Lead.

  • 7 production manifolds
  • 1 MEG manifold
  • 3 × 22” trunk lines
  • 6” and 8” MEG lines
  • 18 × 10” in-field flowlines
  • 2 × 4” in-field MEG lines
  • Associated ILTs and PLETs
  • 25 control modules
  • 4 onshore umbilicals
  • 2 main tie-back umbilicals
  • 5 in-field umbilicals
  • 12 UTA assemblies
  • 189 electro-hydraulic flying leads
  • 48 × 10” flexible jumpers
  • Rigid jumpers and spools

Accountabilities

  • Preparation of vessel pre-commissioning campaign.
  • Supervision of onshore and offshore pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning operations.
  • Verification that all operations follow approved method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Immediate intervention in case of deviations, non-conformances, or identified risks.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) with minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of offshore pre-commissioning experience in pipeline and umbilical control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning operations.
  • Experience in deepwater subsea production systems and vessel-based operations.
  • Previous operator/client assurance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of DNV, API, ISO standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, PFDs, isometrics, hydraulic profiles, and CFD reports.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced, multicultural environments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and support back-to-back rotations if required.
  • Fluent English with strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Valid BOSIET, OGUK, ENG1, and offshore medical certification required prior to mobilization.
