Pipe fitter

Location: Leibstadt Nuclear Power Plant, Switzerland

Deployment Period: 28 April 2026 - 28 May 2026

Working Schedule: 10 hours per day, Monday to Saturday (60 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install pipe systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
  • Install piping for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and processing systems.
  • Interpret and work from isometric drawings.
  • Perform cold bending of small bore pipes (10mm-20mm).
  • Configure pipe system layout in coordination with job site management.
  • Select and install proper piping materials, supports, hangers, dampers, and components.
  • Cut, thread, and shape pipes using saws, torches, and other tools.
  • Assemble and secure pipes using brackets, clamps, or welding tools.
  • Conduct hydrostatic testing on pipe systems.
  • Install instrumentation and valves.
  • Identify and repair issues such as obstructions, cracks, or misalignments.
  • Maintain and repair existing piping systems and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a pipe fitter, preferably in industrial or nuclear environments.
  • Ability to work from isometric drawings.
  • Certified for work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Radiation passport and valid medical clearance for radiological areas.
  • Valid Swiss work permit allowing 60-hour work weeks, including weekends if needed.
  • Team must be well-coordinated, self-sufficient, and demonstrate a high level of responsibility.

Language Requirements

  • Team Leader and Welding Specialist must be fluent in German or English.
