Mobility Specialist

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Employment Type: Full Time

Working Arrangement: Onshore

Key Responsibilities

Global Mobility Management

  • Manage end-to-end global mobility processes including:
    • Pre-assignment preparation
    • On-assignment support
    • Repatriation processes
  • Coordinate international employee transfers to and from Mexico
  • Ensure smooth relocation experience for employees and their families

Policy Implementation & Development

  • Implement global mobility policies at local level
  • Ensure local procedures are aligned with Company standards and updated regularly
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Contribute to the development and review of global mobility policies

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with external service providers including:
    • Relocation agencies
    • Immigration lawyers
    • Tax advisors
  • Ensure vendors deliver services in line with contractual scope and SLAs
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, finance, legal, operations)

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Immigration requirements
    • Work permits and visas
    • Tax and social security obligations
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure processes remain compliant
  • Manage risk related to international assignments

Employee Support

  • Act as the main point of contact for mobile employees
  • Provide guidance on relocation, compensation, and assignment conditions
  • Support employees in resolving complex or non-standard cases
  • Ensure high level of employee satisfaction during assignments

Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate cross-border transfers with internal teams
  • Anticipate and manage tax, immigration, and logistical implications
  • Ensure timely execution of mobility processes

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all assignments including:
    • Employee data
    • Assignment duration
    • Costs
    • Position changes
  • Support reporting, tracking, and analytics related to global mobility
  • Monitor mobility costs and performance indicators
HSE Responsibilities
  • Ensure all activities comply with Company HSES policies and regulatory requirements
  • Promote safe and compliant working practices across all mobility processes
Ethics & Compliance
  • Ensure all activities comply with Company ethics and compliance policies
  • Complete all required compliance training
Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of HR experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Global Mobility roles
  • Experience in Oil & Gas or complex international environments preferred
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Global mobility processes
    • Immigration and visa management
    • International taxation and social security
    • Relocation logistics
  • Experience managing:
    • Expatriate programs
    • Cross-border assignments
    • Vendor and service provider relationships
Operational Capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong planning and coordination skills
  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive cases
