Context

The Materials and Logistics Supervisor is a vital element in the Organization and provision of the required support to the Drilling Operation. The Materials and Logistics Supervisor must be involved in all aspects of this support and by his experience will drive this to a fruitful conclusion, providing help and advice to others in the Logistics Process, both offshore and Onshore.

The Materials and Logistics Supervisor’s role impacts on the Drilling & Completions Operation to a great degree which could have a large cost impact on the operation.

Drilling Manager - Sr. Drilling Engineer (Temporary) -Drilling Superintendent - Logistics Superintendent (Operation)

Location Tunis office - Sousse logistics base

Responsibilities

ü Coordinate the Logistics/Drilling interface to ensure timely and effective support for the Drilling Operation.

ü Attend required meetings and calls between Drilling / Offshore and Contractors.

ü Preparation of reports such as a daily bulk summary sheet and fuel trackers.

ü Liaise with Drilling and Operations on berth requirements and prepare a daily Vessel look ahead to enable all necessary parties to plan accordingly.

ü Preparation of load out lists and requirements in order all Supply base parties can prepare for any forth coming Port calls and load outs i.e. casing to be slung, container requirements etc.

ü Assist where required / requested in any projects i.e. movements of equipment from Europe to Tunisia.

ü Monitor all vessel bulk requirements i.e. tank status to ensure we have the correct configurations to suit requirements offshore.

ü Ensure vessels have sufficient fuel, water and drill water etc for forthcoming operations.

ü Oversee the management of warehouse storage in Company’s Tunisian operations, to include safe storage practices/procedures.

ü Directing support staff in discharging their daily duties.

ü Coordinate and expedite flow of materials (equipment, chemicals) according to production and shipping schedules.

ü Physically check any shipments when they are received at the warehouse and, or before they are sent to their final destination.

ü Compiles and maintains manual and computerized records on Excel and on Materials Software, such as materials inventory, status and location of materials.

ü Confers with departmental supervisors to determine material requirements, to identify overdue materials and to track materials.

ü Inspects all materials (equipment, chemicals) delivered to warehouse and verifies conformance to specifications.

ü Arranges transfer of materials (equipment, chemicals) to relevant locations or facilities to meet schedules department as required.

ü To ensure that all materials issued as per Load out Manifest are identified, issued, packed, correctly documented and processed promptly and efficiently.

ü To ensure that all Materials received as per backload manifest are identified, packed, correctly documented and processed promptly and efficiently.

ü Manage ownership of inventory and the condition of the inventory via materials management system.

ü Co-ordinate the sale/disposal of assets and inventory as the situation dictates.

ü Maintain the rental register on daily basis.

ü Maintain COMPANY assets Register.

ü Supply Chain (Materials/Procurement team) in coordination with Finance, schedules three or four cycle counts per year in addition to a complete physical inventory of all items. Will also include frequent interaction with financial and accounting personnel to ensure accurate stock balances in the materials management systems.

ü Ensures at all times optimum levels of stocks are kept for current drilling & operation plans and to cover repairs, breakdowns and similar contingencies, which could affect requirements.

ü Assists in organizing all procedures to respond for all needs of the subsidiary in term of purchase equipment, transport, handling, transit, customs, storage, stock control and offshore site delivery, within COMPANY group approved policy.

ü Participates in preparing and applying procedures and management system to improve services and costs.

ü Assists in the preparation and implementation call for tender, negotiates contracts for all logistics services: Supply vessels, handling equipment for the Logistics Base, Building and construction of the Base.

ü Promotes the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment rules and procedures, according to Company policy in all the Logistics Department.

ü Ensure that all COMPANY lifting standards have been followed.

Plus any other duties as required

ü Provides input to the Project Procurement Plan and Project Material Responsibility Matrix.

ü Responsible for the Project Material Management Plan & the Project Material Management Procedures and ensures alignment with Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and Construction.

ü Provides input to the Engineering Material requirements and verification of Quantities & Contingencies to support construction Required on Site (ROS) dates and construction philosophy.

Essential skills/ Competencies

ü A thorough knowledge of engineering & material management practices within the process industry (typically oil and gas).

ü Strong knowledge & understanding of material requisitioning, expediting, logistics, site material management & shop & field fabrication.

ü General knowledge of piping and drilling equipment and materials.

ü Fully conversant with offshore drilling materials and equipment.

ü Excellent computer, written and oral skills.

ü Problem solver and able to identify opportunities.

ü The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship.

ü Promote a positive culture in relation to safety

ü Good team worker

Profile

Requirements

ü Engineering Bachelor’s degree

ü Fluent in written and spoken English.

ü Significant previous experience in Marine operations and be well versed in logistics management systems.

ü Extensive experience in offshore operations

ü Experience in dealing with Government Officials and with executives of contracting companies.

ü At least 15 years of experience in the Oil industry is necessary.
