Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Main Activities

Ø Ensure all marine operations are conducted safely and in accordance with the provisions of Company HSE Integrated Management System Policies and Procedures, the client E&P Marine Manual, Guidelines for Offshore Marine Operations, International and National Regulations, Industry Standards, Guidelines and Recommendations.

Ø Promote Safety and an effective Safety Culture throughout all aspects of Company offshore marine logistics services and offshore marine operations.

Ø Monitor Vessel performance, serviceability and availability.

Ø Provide feedback and recommendations on offshore marine service quality issues, and give suggestions for improvements.

Ø Focal point for day-to-day management of Company offshore marine operations and offshore logistics services, with particular regard to urgent material and personnel transportation.

Ø Support lifting advisor, lifting supervisor and LTA in the day-to-day operations.

Ø Support quality of operations with Company contracted vessels, inspecting them upon request and giving advice as to keeping the means properly maintained.

Ø Support and advise for sensitive marine operations, such as barge or rig moves.

Mandatory Certifications or Diploma:

Ø Professional education (preferably in Technical subjects)

Ø Working knowledge of English and French languages

Ø Ability to coordinate the flow of information to organize offshore trips

Ø The following certifications are required, for P.I.C.:

o LOLER & PUWER Awareness course

o OPITO approved Banksman/signaler Stage 3

Ø OPITO BOSIET, including Helicopter Escape Training, in course of validity.

Ø OPITO HLO (Helicopter Landing Officer) Training or Further Training within the last 2 years.

Ø IMO STCW 1978 (including 2010 Manila amendments) certificate as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (No Limitations) and seagoing experience including service on offshore support vessels

OR

Extensive seagoing experience (minimum 5 years), including service on offshore support vessels, experience of offshore cargo and personnel transfer operations and previous experience in a similar role or supervisory experience on board ship.

Ø Advanced Fire Fighting

Skills & Experience:

Ø At least 10 years of experience at sea, preferably in the O&G business, and with involvement in lifting operations.

Competences and experiences listed here below are desirable and positively considered for all listed roles relevant to offshore activities, but do not represent minimum requirements for enrollment:

Ø Service on board Offshore Support Vessels of various types, including AHTS, PSV, FSIV, DSV, and specialist vessels

Ø Service on board Mobile Offshore Units (MOU) or fixed offshore installations

Ø Dynamic Positioning (DP) qualifications or experience

Ø Practical knowledge and sound understanding of the International Maritime Goods (IMDG) Code and Dangerous Goods by Air

Ø Exposure to port operations, stevedoring, and logistics operations generally, preferably offshore Oil & Gas logistics

Ø Additional Offshore Training such as OPITO Offshore Emergency Response, OPITO ERRV Crew Fast Rescue Craft or similar

Ø Additional Seafarer training such as Fast Rescue Craft, Medical First aid, Medical Care, Dangerous Goods in Packaged Form or similar

Ø Fluency in, or working knowledge of, the French language

Ø Fluency in, or working knowledge of, the Italian language
