Maintenance Planning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Gas Downstream sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance plans for equipment and facilities, ensuring high reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all plant equipment and facilities
  • Utilize tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project to create work schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Conduct data analysis, track maintenance KPIs, and identify trends to improve asset reliability and reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to coordinate and optimize maintenance strategies
  • Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify potential maintenance needs and risks
  • Lead the preparation of maintenance budgets, control costs, and ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Generate and present technical reports, maintenance plans, and performance updates to stakeholders and senior management
  • Support and guide maintenance personnel, providing technical input and planning assistance

Qualifications

  • Time-served professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience in maintenance planning within a refinery or petrochemical plant
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other maintenance planning software
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance management principles, scheduling techniques, and asset management strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical specifications, operational requirements, and cost-effectiveness
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive reports and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
