FPSO Lead HVAC Engineer

Role Overview

The FPSO Lead HVAC Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design review, procurement follow-up, construction support, testing, and commissioning of all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for a major FPSO development.

The role ensures HVAC systems comply with project specifications, international standards, HSE requirements, and operational performance objectives throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC Engineering

  • Lead all HVAC engineering activities for the FPSO package.
  • Review HVAC philosophies, calculations, layouts and technical documentation.
  • Validate contractor engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and Company specifications.
  • Support technical reviews and design optimization.

Construction & Commissioning

  • Monitor fabrication and installation activities.
  • Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate resolution of technical issues during construction.
  • Ensure mechanical completion and handover readiness.

Interface Management

  • Coordinate with:
    • Process Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Instrumentation & Control
    • Marine Systems
    • Safety Engineering

HSE

  • Promote HSE excellence throughout engineering and construction activities.
  • Ensure HVAC systems comply with hazardous area requirements and fire & gas philosophies.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical or HVAC Engineering)
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in HVAC engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years on FPSO or offshore production facilities.

Languages

  • Fluent English.
