Scope of Work (SOW)
1. Objective
The objective of this Scope of Work is to secure the services of an OEM Specialist from VOITH to perform an on-site damage assessment, internal inspection, and restoration supervision for the high-capacity helical gear unit at the Bouri Field following a fire incident caused by a hydraulic leak.
2. Equipment Details
Equipment Tag: GT1 (DP4-41UN01) Gas Turbine No.1 Gearbox .
Gearbox Type: Voith High Capacity Helical Gear Unit, Type AD 63 U-So .
Serial Numbers: H 19445 / H 19447 .
Location: Bouri Field (Offshore) .
3. Detailed Scope of Specialist Services
3.1 The VOITH Specialist
shall be responsible for completing the following technical activities:
Site Survey & Preliminary Assessment Conduct an initial visual inspection of the gearbox compartment and review the internal fire incident findings.
Dismantling Guidance Supervise the safe, step-by-step uncoupling and vertical lifting of the housing upper and centre sections as per OEM manual procedures .
Internal Component Inspection Perform a detailed physical inspection of the internal gears (pinion shaft and helical bull gear), checking for any scuffing, scoring, or thermal distortion resulting from the fire .
Bearing & Seal Assessment Measure and inspect the split radial multi-land bearings, the tilting pad thrust bearing segments, and the output side shaft labyrinth seals to determine wear or heat damage .
System Review Assess the integrity of the integrated oil supply pipelines, internal bores, pressure manometers, resistance/bi-metallic thermometers, and the structural condition of the oil sump.
Defect Identification & Part Recommendation Compile a definitive list of damaged components and specify the precise critical spare parts required for safe restoration .
Reassembly Supervision Oversee the alignment, blue-checking of contact areas (minimum 80% contact area), torque tightening to the specified 3490 Nm requirement, and application of proper jointing gasket compound.
Testing & Certification Support post-repair pressure-feed lubrication checks, cold/hot alignment monitoring, commissioning supervision.
3.2 Spare parts inventory and GT01 assessment
Comprehensive Field Service Report including available spare parts at site.
Detailed damage inspection checklist and events logs.
Recommended scope of work based on actual unit condition.
