Energy Buyer – Industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment

1. Objective

To help define and implement procurement strategies for electrical and instrumentation equipment for the Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors.

2. Tasks

In order to support the achievement of the objective in terms of quality, safety, environment, reliability and deadlines with a view to optimizing costs and striving for performance, the tasks to be carried out will be as follows:

2.1 Preparation for purchasing management

a) Define and implement procurement strategies, carrying out an in-depth analysis of the relevant markets and the Company's needs by branch.

b) Carry out market analyses to identify key players in each sector, monitor their evolution and performance, identify market risks, and develop pricing structure models and benchmarks by business sector.

c) Prepare the supplier panel, organize and monitor qualifications.

d) Prepare purchasing strategy by developing contract models adapted to the strategies selected.

2.2. Purchasing management

a) Conducts all stages of the purchasing process in compliance with the customer's internal rules and procedures, in particular the code of ethics and code of conduct

b) oversee the drafting of pre-consultation and tender documents for central requirements

c) Conduct direct commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers, in compliance with procedures and operating rules, in liaison with Purchasing legal teams

d) Manage the central contract portfolio, ensuring that deadlines are met and activity is monitored.

2.3. Monitoring and improving purchasing performance

a) Monitor supplier activity and performance indicators in liaison with specifiers.

b) Ensure the correct application of framework contracts, and support the Company's subsidiaries in the local application of these framework contracts.

c) prepare supplier performance reviews

d) Propose improvement, optimization and/or transformation plans in collaboration with specifiers, with the aim of improving overall performance.

2.4 .Deliverables

  • Regular follow-up reports on tasks and actions carried out
  • Memos / Presentations

3. Technical prerequisites

  • Advanced expertise in industrial purchasing, ideally in the energy sector.
  • Concrete experience in contract negotiation and good expertise in industrial projects and the energy sector is essential.

4. Technical skills

  • Rigorous, analytical approach to task completion
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good expertise in energy issues and associated industrial equipment (electrical equipment in particular).
  • Expertise in contractual and commercial negotiations with industrial equipment manufacturers.

5. Computer skills and languages

  • Office suite expertise
  • The language of the service will be English and French.
