Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Main Activities

Ø Review design Documentation for Operability and Maintainability Assurance

Ø Ensure maintenance costs are optimized by effective utilization of maintenance expertise and spares support infrastructure as well as the implementation of the maintenance management system.

Ø Prepare the maintenance procedures and specifications according to Company strategies

Ø Promote equipment upgrading, investigation of causes of extensive wear, breakdowns analysis and development of preventive actions to increase the reliability.

Ø Provide support to the definition and managing / reviewing Maintenance contracts

Ø Define and monitor Performance Index for Maintenance activities

Ø Promote and assure the continuous improvement of the maintenance process following the field feedbacks

Ø Provide specialistic support in the process of continuous improvement for the definition and revision of maintenance plans

Ø Provide engineering support to Operations and Maintenance teams during Normal Operations, Start up and Shutdown phases.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ø Minimum Degree Qualification in relevant Engineering discipline (i.e. Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering)

Ø 5 Years of Oil and Gas Industry experience

Ø Maintenance engineering

Ø CMMS -SAP management

Required Competencies

Ø Production Operations: Maintenance Management, Predictive Maintenance

Ø Maintenance Operations: Telecommunication Maintenance

Ø Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry or other similar Heavy Industrial environment, preferably including a substantial period of direct engineering support to operational Offshore and Onshore activities

Ø Strong technical Knowledge and proven design, construction, commissioning and operation experience in the following areas:

o ATEX / DSEAR Electrical and Instrumentation Systems

o DCS / PLC Process Control Systems

o ESD Systems

o Field Instrumentation

o High & Low Voltage Generation Systems

o High & Low Voltage Distribution Systems

o High & Low Voltage Motor Control Centre’s

o High Voltage (Static) Variable speed drives

o Switchgear, Synchronous Generators, Induction & Synchronous Motors, Transformers, Lighting, Cables and associated support systems

Ø Instrumentation Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Troubleshooting techniques knowledge

Ø Significant hands-on experience in the ESD and F&G Systems

Ø Technical confidence and independence to progress tasks with minimal supervision

Ø Good communication in English (verbal and written)
