Objectives of the Organization

• Accomplish exploration activity in Deepwater Block 4E, with due consideration for HSE, by proper management and timely execution of the project as the operator in cooperation with the joint venture partners.
• Accomplish exploration activity in Block SK418 and Block SK510 by proper management and timely execution of the project in cooperation with the joint venture partners.
• Achieve early growths of Malaysia business as one of core areas of INPEX Group, (i) actively seek for new business opportunity, (ii) enhance the capability and competency of personnel in the KL Office, and (iii) expand the organization in line with the progress of the projects.
• Contribute to business operation and development aimed at early development and realization of production and establishment of low-carbon business in Malaysia.

Job Objectives

• Contribute to the objectives of the organization through;
• Supporting Drilling Team Leader, Senior Drilling Engineer, Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Operations Manager in conducting and coordinating the processes for all aspects of drilling engineering and operations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide drilling engineering expertise for the preparation of operating procedure for successful drilling operation.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for the preparation of BoWD (Basis of Well Design) for planned wells.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for the creation of tender process specifications, the selection of drilling service providers and materials suppliers.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for specific recommendations for specific equipment and materials to be ordered to contractors.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for developing WP&B, cost estimates and AFE documents.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for carrying out data analyses to enhance learning effect in future operations and develop EoWR (End of Well Report) post drilling operations.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for generating operational instructions, closely monitoring daily drilling operations and initiating the processes of MOC whenever necessary.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for interfacing with logistics staffs to stay abreast of daily activities and provide insight, advices and suggestions to them for day to day safe and efficient arrangement.

Shall have required qualifications, experience and competencies:

• Required to have a minimum of six (6) years of industry experience in an PSC Operator environment as a Drilling Engineer.
• Required to have a minimum of one (1) subsea exploration well drilling experience as a Drilling Engineer, recently.
• Experience working in Malaysia and ensuring compliance with PETRONAS, JV and Company requirements.
• Experience with subsea well testing is preferred.
• Experience working in a team with diverse culture.
• Fluent in English language both Written & Spoken and preferably Bahasa Malaysia language
• Preferably BEng in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering or similar
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and LANDMARK drilling modules
• Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
