On March 24 and 25, 2025, Altea Energy successfully completed its ISO surveillance audit with zero non-conformities and one improvement recommendation — further strengthening its commitment to quality, safety, and environmental responsibility in the energy sector.
Audited by an external certification body as part of its follow-up for the ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications (first obtained in 2020 and renewed in 2023), this evaluation confirms Altea Energy’s strong processes in quality management, occupational safety, and environmental protection — all of which are critical in high-risk environments.
Altea Energy: a responsible player in a complex sector
Since its founding in 2008, Altea Energy has been a strategic partner in sourcing and mobilizing consultants for high-risk industries such as oil & gas, renewables, and nuclear. Each year, the company mobilizes hundreds of consultants — often in extreme conditions, whether offshore or onshore — to support complex energy projects.
In this context, Altea Energy’s QHSE policy (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment), backed by ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and Qualianor certification (for radiation protection in nuclear), plays an essential role.
These certifications reflect the company’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental management in such a demanding industry.
“Our consultants work on projects in environments where safety and risk management are paramount. These certifications demonstrate our ability not only to guarantee the quality of our services but also to ensure the health and safety of our teams, while minimizing our environmental footprint,” explains Pamela Bobillier, Transformation Director at Altea Energy.
ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001: a guarantee of continuous process and performance improvement
The ISO certifications (International Organization for Standardization) – 9001, 14001, and 45001 – obtained and renewed by Altea Energy, are international benchmarks in quality, environmental, and safety management.
They allow the company to structure its processes and meet client expectations while integrating sustainable and safe practices.
- ISO 9001:2015 focuses on quality management, helping Altea Energy streamline internal processes to fully satisfy client needs and boost overall performance.
- ISO 14001:2015 focuses on environmental management, enabling Altea Energy to reduce its ecological footprint and comply with local environmental regulations — especially in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
- ISO 45001:2018 ensures that an effective occupational health and safety management system is in place — essential for operations in high-risk environments. This certification is crucial for protecting workers in challenging conditions and aligns with Altea Energy’s QHSE policy.
“These standards help Altea Energy anticipate and manage risks, enhance client satisfaction, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement across all our services — especially in complex, high-risk environments where we deploy consultants. They are foundational processes for all of us.
During the audit, one area for improvement was suggested: to involve team members in HSE inspections of our offices. The idea is to gather feedback from one or two employees on any potential HSE risks in their workspace. We have taken note of this and will integrate it into our processes,” says Mohand Toudert, HSE Supervisor at Altea Energy.
Risk management and compliance with local regulations are central to Altea Energy’s operations. For every project, the company ensures that its consultants meet both local and international standards, guaranteeing safe and environmentally responsible interventions.
“ISO is not just a certification — it’s a philosophy we apply daily to support our clients on complex projects. These audits are an opportunity to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to high performance and to integrate feedback that helps us continuously optimize our processes,” concludes Pamela Bobillier.
