Altea Energy at the JENTHEC 2024 Forum in Algiers: a commitment to youth employability

On December 5, 2024, Altea Energy, a recruitment specialist in the energy sector, actively participated in the 15th edition of the JENTHEC Employment and Professional Training Forum, organized by the École des Hautes Études Commerciales d’Alger (HEC Alger, formerly INC).

This flagship event, held at the University Campus of Koléa in Tipaza, brought together over 60 companies and hundreds of students, establishing itself as a vital platform for bridging the gap between the academic and corporate world.

One mission: linking students to the business world

The primary goal of the JENTHEC Forum is to build bridges between students and companies by facilitating:

  • Professional encounters: Students engaged directly with recruiters, discovered internships and job opportunities, and gained a better understanding of market expectations.
  • Academic collaborations: By involving the teaching staff of HEC Algiers, the event paved the way for new synergies in professional training programs.

Active participation from Altea Energy

This event aligns perfectly with Altea Energy’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, which focuses on developing local talent and supporting the employability of young graduates.

Represented by El Hachemi OUKIL (Country Manager Algeria) and Manel DOUIB (Recruitment Assistant), the Altea Energy team leveraged the event to:

  • Showcase the numerous career opportunities available in the energy sector, a field undergoing significant transformation.
  • Highlight the diversity of roles within the energy industry and inspire future graduates.
  • Identify promising talents among HEC Algiers students with a recruitment strategy focused on skill development.
  • Strengthen its position as a key player in connecting the academic and corporate world.

Innovation, networking and opportunities

In addition to company booths and recruitment sessions, JENTHEC 2024 offered key moments for students and companies, including:

  • An opening ceremony, presided over by Ms. Amel KASMI, Director of HEC Algiers.
  • INNOVTHEC, a dedicated innovation space where business leaders and entrepreneurs shared their initiatives.
  • Networking sessions fostering rich exchanges between students, companies, and industry professionals.

A CSR-driven approach in Algeria

Altea Energy is an international company founded in France in 2008, with a strong presence in Algeria since 2011, operating in Algiers, Ouargla, and Hassi Messaoud.

Specializing in technical assistance for the energy sector (oil and gas, renewables, and nuclear), Altea Energy recruits energy experts and deploys them on client sites in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Algeria remains a key operational hub where Altea Energy has mobilized numerous consultants over the past 15 years. Strengthening its local impact, the company signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Ouargla in December 2021 to launch joint initiatives. These efforts have intensified support for students, educators, and researchers, fostering training, youth employability, and scientific research.

For El Hachemi OUKIL, Algeria Country Manager at Altea Energy:
“HEC Algiers is an emblematic institution in Algeria, renowned for the quality of its students’ education. We are honored to have participated in this major event, which aligns with our CSR strategy of creating sustainable bridges between the academic and corporate world while supporting young Algerian talents.”

By investing in human capital and fostering local skills, Altea Energy reaffirms its commitment to contributing to Algeria’s sustainable development while solidifying its position as a leader in the energy sector.
