In an increasingly globalized world, managing immigration procedures is a key challenge to swiftly mobilize energy experts for clients’ projects.
To optimize this process and enhance the experience for both clients and consultants, Altea Energy is taking a new step in the digitalization of its services with the launch of its Immigration App.
Designed to streamline and automate immigration case management, the Immigration App enables real-time tracking, improved team coordination, and increased transparency in immigration processes.
Paul Vergnes, Operations Support at Altea Energy, and Pavel Veretennicov, Digital Project Manager at Altea Energy, key players in this launch, explain the challenges and benefits of this new tool.
A digital response to immigration challenges
“When consultants are selected for an assignment, they sign a contract with Altea Energy and officially join our community of experts. Their integration is then handled by our Global Mobility team, which takes care of onboarding, immigration formalities, and all logistics to ensure their smooth and timely deployment on-site,” explains Pamela Bobillier, Transformation Director at Altea Energy.
With the growing number of assignments and the complexity of varying regulations across the world, the digitalization of immigration procedures has become essential to ensure the quick and compliant deployment of consultants.
It is in this context that Altea Energy has developed its Immigration App, a tool designed to centralize, automate, and optimize every step of the process.
“The Immigration App is an ambitious project aimed at digitizing all information related to the immigration procedures we manage. This tool enables advanced tracking, better control over ongoing procedures, and significant time savings in case processing,” explains Paul Vergnes, Operations Support at Altea Energy.
“We initially focused on immigration procedures in Algeria, one of our key countries of operation where we mobilize a large number of consultants. Our local experts, El Hachemi Oukil (Country Manager Algeria), Hakim Bettayeb (HR Business Partner) and the HR Algeria team, contributed to understanding the territory’s specific immigration procedures,” adds Paul Vergnes.
Pavel Veretennicov, Digital Project Manager at Altea Energy, adds:
“From the start of our project, we set four key objectives:
- Centralize information on a single platform
- Facilitate communication between headquarters and operational teams in different countries
- Automate low-value-added tasks to boost productivity
- Simplify access to analytics and reports
The Immigration App meets these needs by providing a single source of truth for all teams, ensuring transparency and efficiency in immigration case management.”
An application integrated into Altea Energy’s digital ecosystem
The Immigration App is part of Altea Energy’s broader digital transformation, seamlessly integrated and connected to the company’s sales and recruitment tools.
This integration allows for optimal use of existing data, avoiding redundant information and significantly saving time for the teams.
The application also enables real-time tracking of immigration cases and includes an automated notification system, keeping teams informed of key updates and deadlines.
A project designed by and for Altea Energy teams
The success of the Immigration App is the result of close collaboration between business and digital teams.
Paul Vergnes, Operations Support at Altea Energy, who initiated the project, leveraged his immigration expertise to identify critical needs and ensure smooth adoption of the tool.
“The project was developed over nearly a year, under the supervision of the project manager, with the involvement of IT and Mobility teams in France, Algeria, and Tunisia,” he explains. “My main role was to define the business needs and optimize existing procedures through digitalization.”
Meanwhile, Pavel Veretennicov, Digital Project Manager at Altea Energy, structured and managed the project from design to deployment. “One of the key challenges was designing a flexible and scalable technical architecture capable of adapting to the diverse regulations of the countries we operate in,” he highlights.
Tangible benefits for consultants and clients
With the Immigration App, Altea Energy continues to enhance its consultants’ experience, particularly in managing complex administrative procedures related to immigration (business visas, work visas, work and residence permits, etc.). The application enables consultants to be deployed more quickly, allowing them to become operational sooner in their assignments.
For clients, this improved responsiveness translates into better project continuity and greater confidence in Altea Energy’s support services. By centralizing and automating processes, the tool ensures smoother, more secure, and more transparent case management.
A vision for the future
The Immigration App represents a key milestone in Altea Energy’s digital transformation. New features, such as artificial intelligence integration, are already in development to further optimize case processing.
“With the Immigration App, Altea Energy reaffirms its ambition to offer innovative digital solutions to meet the challenges of the energy sector. This project reflects our commitment to being a trusted partner for our consultants and clients,” concludes Pamela Bobillier, Transformation Director at Altea Energy.
