Subsea Engineer

The Subsea Engineer is pivotal in driving the company's mission in the subsea industry by spearheading the planning, engineering development, and execution subsea and DSV operations. This role significantly contributes to the organization by developing procedures and innovative subsea engineering solutions, ensuring the successful completion of projects, and securing new business opportunities. Without this position, the company would lack the expertise necessary to maintain its competitive edge and fulfill its operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in mechanical or petroleum engineering or ocean engineering.

Experience

  • Have a minimum of 10 years previous experience as in a similar position with duties including the engagement in diving operations.
  • Have experience in leadership or managerial role.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Subsea Operations.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating diverse teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with both onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver no harm (People, Asset, Environment and Reputation) HSE performance.
  • Embed safety leadership culture for self, team members and contractors for all operations. maintenance. construction and wells activities.
  • Promote strong behavioral safety culture, safety consciousness among individuals and actively promote participation in HSE programs to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Promote a high level of ethics and compliance in accordance with the Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures in day-to-day activities including interaction with contractors.
  • Practice respect for others in interaction at all levels.
  • Actively pursue the liquidation of integrity related activities, both inspection and rectification.
  • Deliver activities with strong emphasis on upfront planning and work preparation without compromising on safety and quality in order to achieve consistent and good on time, reliability and technical integrity performance.
  • Support the planning process with the aim of optimizing scopes by providing guidance in managing prioritization of activities within the various constraints.
  • Deliver activities within budget and actively explore opportunity for value for money, increase in productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and manages all activities with a wide view towards integration of work demonstrating pro-activeness, ownership and collaboration across different teams.
  • Actively explore improvement opportunities in the form of new technology / method / material, plant change, task improvement and surveillance / monitoring with the aim to enhance safety and integrity, reduce cost, improve reliability, maximizing / optimizing production and minimizing production deferment.
